Our Privacy Policy explains how the GUC (“GUC,” “we,” “us”) collect, use, share, and protect information in relation to our online and offline services/courses and websites (collectively, the “Service”), and your choices about the collection and use of your information. Our Policy applies to all visitors, members, users, and others who access and use the Service (“Users”).
When you enroll yourself as a student/participant with us, contact us, access or use our Service, make a purchase, or register for programs, you provide us with information about yourself. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect and use such information.
Please note that, to the extent that you disclose or you authorize GUC to disclose your information to other parties, whether they are our vendors, affiliates, sponsors, partners, or service providers, different rules may apply to their use or disclosure of the information disclosed to them.

Privacy is important at GUC. GUC is committed to respecting the privacy of all participants. We will not sell or trade personal information. We will share participant information only if GUC is legally obligated to share the same or if provided with a release signed by the participant or parent as and when required.
When you provide your information through our secure site, we use it to contact you about our program offerings. We do our best to adhere to any requests made in the information provided, but cannot always accommodate them.
Occasionally, GUC will email students and prospective students information regarding future class and schedule offerings.
Our website may contain links that may let you leave our website and access other websites. Linked websites are not under the control of GUC and may have different privacy policies. We do not accept responsibility or liability of other websites and urge you to use care if you enter personal information on these sites.
What data do we have, what is it used for and why is it necessary?
We store the information you give us at time of registration for our programs. This information includes your name, email addresses, school and job title, gender and nationality, emergency contact information, school administrator information, course history, as well as birthplace and birthdate and many others.
We use this information to create course materials used on site, such as name tags and class lists; to send out both promotional and important information emails; and to contact you on-site.
How we use your information
We use information that we collect about you or that you provide to us, including any personal information:To present our Site and their content to you.
- To provide you with information, products, or services that you request from us.
- To fulfill any other purpose for which you provide it.
- To provide you with notices about your subscriptions to the Services, including expiration and renewal notices.

If you delete your Interactive Content from the Site, copies of your Interactive Content may remain viewable in cached and archived pages, or might have been copied or stored by other users of the Site. This is also known as “the right to be forgotten” and, in simple terms, enables you to request the deletion or removal of your personal information/Personal Data where there’s no compelling reason for us to keep using it. This is not a general right to erasure; there are exceptions.

You have rights to “block” or suppress further use of your personal information/Personal Data that GUC processes. When processing is restricted, we can still store your personal information/Personal Data, but may not use it further. We keep lists of people who have asked for further use of their information to be “blocked” to make sure the restriction is respected in future.
For clarity, if you do make these requests, it does not mean that anything we have done with your personal information/Personal Data with your consent up to that point is unlawful.

The right to withdraw consent
If you have given your consent to anything we do with your personal information/Personal Data, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. This includes your right to withdraw consent to us using your personal information/Personal Data for marketing purposes.

We usually act on requests and provide personal information/Personal Data free of charge, but may charge a reasonable fee to cover our administrative costs of providing the personal information/Personal Data for:
Baseless or excessive/repeated requests, or
Further copies of the same personal information/Personal Data. Alternatively, we also may be entitled to refuse to act on the request.
Please consider your request responsibly before submitting it. We will respond as soon as we can. Generally, this will be within one month from when we receive your request but, if the request is going to take longer to deal with, we will come back to you and let you know.
Most importantly, PLEASE UNDERSTAND that if you are a paid/unpaid subscriber to a GUC Service, many types of personal information/Personal Data are necessary for GUC to maintain and continue your account, along with the subscription to any Services which that personal information/Personal Data is associated. If the personal information/Personal Data can no longer be used by GUC for that purpose, it may necessitate terminating the account and/or subscription (without any refund) and discontinuing access to and the use of the Service and/or Site to which the personal information/Personal Data is associated. We will use reasonable efforts to advise you of any such adverse consequences of restricting or removing our ability to maintain accounts and subscriptions by requests related to Personal Data, e.g. removal, restriction, blocking, etc.
Right to remove your data
You also have the Right to be Forgotten. In the event that you request GUC to remove all your data, course history will be retained and your account will be replaced with an anonymous, securely-generated serial number which will be issued to you upon confirmation. Otherwise, we would no longer have a way to confirm courses attended and certificates received.
Our retention of your personally identifiable information
The personally identifiable information that you provide will be stored and maintained by GUC until you instruct us otherwise, or, in GUC’s sole discretion, for so long as is necessary or appropriate to carry out the purpose(s) for which such information was collected, and for so long as we are required to maintain such information by law.
Children’s privacy
The Service is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect, use, or disclose personal information from children under the age of 13. If we discover that any information has been supplied by children, we will disregard and delete such information.
Your Acceptance of This Privacy Policy and Revisions to This Privacy Policy
By using the Service and providing us with your information, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, you may not use the Service. GUC reserves the right, at our discretion, to change, modify, add or remove portions of this Privacy Policy at any time and from time to time. All revisions will be posted on the Service.
